From March 4 to 17, 2019, Design Shanghai @ Xintiandi Design Festival, themed as "Back to the social origin - Acquainted, Encountered", organized a series of events including interactive installations, visual art and forums, encouraging people to meet and interact with each other in real social situations instead of virtual network.
Kokaistudios, inspired by the spontaneous and joyful ways children interact on the playground, talking and listening to each other through a whisper-tube, conceived an urban public network space to stimulate people of all ages to enjoy this social interaction. The installation is named as “The Whispering Tree”.
