Chubao Place by MixC, a major urban renewal project located at the western edge of Wuhan’s Jianghan Road and Zhongshan Avenue historical district, officially opened on 13th October.
Commissioned to lead the masterplanning, architecture, and interior design of the commercial plot, Kokaistudios adopted a core design strategy operates on the principle of "mending" the urban fabric, articulated through the concept of "Yanghang as the Frontage, Lifen as the Core" in a contemporary architecture language.
Approaching urban renewal through the dual lenses of urban development and cultural history, Kokaistudios' design for Chubao Place integrates commercial vitality with the city's historical context. The project establishes a new public destination in Wuhan, fostering a renewed sense of local identity and collective memory.
