"Design for the Extraordinary Awards", jointly initiated by IDEAT and ASKO, has successfully held its second edition. Filippo Gabbiani and Andrea Destefanis, founders and principal architects of Kokaistudios, have been invited again to join the judging team. Through a rigorous and inclusive evaluation process, based on multiple dimensions such as smartness, sensuality, and sustainability, the 47 final winners of four awards, including public architecture, commercial spaces, built residence, and unbuilt residence, were announced.
The awards ceremony was held at Shanghai Columbia Circle, where Li Wei, Associate Partner and Architecture Director at Kokaistudios, represented the winners in the Commercial Space category. Guests presenting awards on the same stage included Cheng Chung (Founder of Cheng Chung Design), Meng Ye (Design Director of Mengye Space Creative Design Firm), Qi Shanshan (Founder of STUDIO QI Architects), and Lv Min (Editor-in-Chief of IDEAT China).
