The project is located in Baietan, the intersection of three sections of the Pearl River in Guangzhou, which is one of the CBD core plots in Guangzhou metropolitan area. Facing Guangzhou Shamian Island across the river, Baietan will become a mirror image of the floating Shamian Island on the other side of the river. Taking this as a source of inspiration, the design aims to build a “floating city” that responds to the context and faces the future.

As the core element concept of “floating city”, “Slabs” organizes the complex functions of office, hotel, and commercial in series.Supporting office and hotel towers above the Slabs, Between Slabs, it responses to the texture of Guangzhou traditional street , and builds an commercial open space .The space under Slab continues the impression of Guangzhou spatial elements, creating an underground commercial interior space.
